Some people say UPans are too proud of their school, it's a stereotype that most people carry with the same thinking that not all people from UP got in because of their brains but because of their connections. Comments? Bitter! Loljk. If that's what they/you think, go ahead. You probably took the exam and had a failing mark hence the accusations and assumptions? I tell you, you're better off with that. Entering UP is actually not a problem, getting out of it aka graduating is. So, if you didn't make the cut during the entrance exam, if in any case you get in by any miraculous deed, you probably won't be able to graduate anyway. On your second year you'd have an average of 3 failing major subjects, no available class to enlist for and a professor who hates your guts. The next semester will be harder, you'll get that terror prof everyone's been talking about, fail your grades because of alcohol and night outs then end up getting dismissed because of too much extra curricular activities. 

And no, I'm not in a feud with someone. I just reminisced how I used to defend the fact that I got in even if I was just your average high school dork. And that thinking brought me to this..

Ola! Today is technically Monday in the Philippines, so this is a cheat post and I'm hoping you read this EST. Yesterday was a busy day and I forgot to queue this blog post, what is there to queue anyway when I haven't even created one? Lol. 

This isn't going to be one cheesy, message of realization, full of drama post. I just want to thank my Mom for being the awesome woman that she is.

It's also a way for you to be healthy! I know you've been dying to jog and run all summer but you haven't had the time, well, this is the time to start!

I'm sorry for not being able to post consistently on this blog. I've been a little depressed lately, and I've been mulling over my existence for the past days and my birthday made it worst! I'll write about that on a different blog post, I don't want to spread bad vibes. 

So, moving on. I'm feeling quite domesticated lately, I didn't celebrate my birthday anywhere. I was thinking of getting drunk but I remember how painful it was to vomit the last time it happened. I thought, a staycation with lovey would be nice, 5 days at home with the family and the boyfriend. It was nice but I'm going back to work later. 

And before I do, I thought of sharing a recipe with you! Again if I may say, I'm feeling domesticated. Lol. It's a very simple dish that you can cook anytime, it's most ideal when it's raining! So here goes, drum roll please. Today I'll teach you how to cook, Paksiw na Tilapia! This is my first how-to on cooking so correct me if ever I say something wrong. Haha!

They say you can never have so many of two things, good friends and shoes. I'd have to agree to that. I have running shoes, hiking shoes, stilettos, pumps, boots, wedges and of course flats. 

Most guys would prefer ladies in high heels because it gives grace to one's posture (if you're wearing them the right way), adds height and of course, makes you look smokin' hot (it depends on who's wearing them. lol). After a day or so of wearing those sky-high heels, there will come a point wherein your precious feet will need to rest too. That's why I love flats. 

With that being said, my laptop is always on. Sometimes when I have a lot of things on queue with torrent, I leave it on the overnight as if it has the same durability as a desktop! I know it doesn't, based from 2 laptops that I've had before. I bet they were used and abused so they gave up on their ruthless owner. 

Anyhoo, according to technicians (I'm not even sure they're certified.) the unlikely death of my previous netbooks and laptops has something to do with the heat because something got burnt inside. I'm not that technical, y'know! They also told me the usual cause of it is if the laptop is unable to release the hot air properly. Even if it has it's own cooling system, if you usually put it in your lap on on top of a pillow, that's when it gets messy. 

I'm thinking the technician had ESP or something because that's exactly what I do with my laptop out of laziness. Sometimes I even watch movies while lying on my bed. Darn, should've known better. 

I think I've learned my lesson. Look what I got!

I got myself a laptop cooler which also doubles as a cute mini desk! I bought it for P680, I'm not really sure about the quality and I have no complaints so far. With CD-R King, you're never really sure. Yes they sell cheap items but some will probably last a week or two, and some on the other hand are really good ones. I hope this one falls under the good ones. 

When you read this blog, kindly do so with a squealing voice because that's the closest emotion I can project as of the moment. Well, that's exaggerated but it's pretty much like that. I got 2 free tickets from Nuffnang, so I went with the boyfriend. Can you imagine? The Avengers for free? And this is not a sponsored post. Anyhoo, going back to the Avengers. I don't mean to spoil it but I don't know how to say so without spoiling some parts of the movie. Let's try, most of you have probably seen it anyway. Mehehe. 

Ola! I've been a bit quiet these past few days because--wait for it, I attended my sister's graduation! Lol. It's something that the whole family looks forward too. It's sad that my Dad and youngest sister weren't able to attend because of complicated circumstances I choose not to discuss.  

Anyhoo, let me give you a little background about my sister. We haven't always been in good terms, we were in fact the opposite. When we were kids, we'd strangle each other to death over the death of a Barbie Doll. If someone wants to plot revenge, the best way to do it is by beheading the other person's doll. That went on 'til college. I'd complain how chaotic my life was when I had to share a room with her. We'd wear each others clothes then if we see each other in school it'd be peace, but the wrath gets unleashed at home. 

When I started working, I started maturing, fortunately. I saw the world on a different perspective and so did she. I guess we're okay now. Not the best of friends, but sisters--forever! <3

A few weeks ago, we dined at Red Kimono before our tip to Baguio. My workplace (UP-Ayalaland Technohub) is surrounded by various restaurants which caters to different kinds of food. That particular Friday night we were craving for Japanese food thus leading us to Red Kimono. I promise you this post won't be heavy with text, I'll smother you with photos!

My phone is my constant companion. When I'm bored I play games, when I want to share a photo I connect to the Internet, when I want to read I open my e-books. It's basically the only thing that can keep me from being bored, aside from the boyfran that is. Lelz. I don't use the phone a lot for texting and calling because camera phones are not allowed in the office. My go-to phone when it comes to texting and calling is my trusty Nokia non-cam phone.

Anyhoo, even if I don't use it that much, I always keep it handy in case I get bored. I'm not a super techie person but let's just say I know how to get around my phone especially when it comes to using paid apps for free. *wink*

Here's a quick rundown on my favorite iOS apps!

So first off, Instagram. Who is not familiar with Instagram? I think most, if not all of us are. It comes with preset filters that you can use for your photos. It has that vintage feel and sorts of gives drama even to a picture of a trash can. It's really nice if you know how to use it, but there's also a point when it becomes tacky, thanks to camwhores who want to show the world a photo of their ingrown.

You can easily publish photos edited through Instagram to Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, etc. 

Next, I have Foursquare. I check-in wherever I go, I'm addicted! Friends from the US told me that you can get discounts if you frequent a specific place, I have experienced that when I checked in at SM Megamall and there's this yellow tab that says 'special'. It says I can get 20% off if I shop at SM Department Store but I'm not sure how it works so I didn't try. Lelz.
