My family and I really had a wonderful celebration yesterday. It's the first time in all the years of my existence that my Mom and Dad didn't have to work on Christmas day. We had the whole day to eat, visit relatives, slack off and just have fun. Prior to that, we also had our usual mass before having Noche Buena. 

I didn't really buy any new clothes for Christmas this year. I decided to wear something light-colored. I've been wearing blacks and reds during the past Christmases that we've had and I thought, I want to look younger than I am this year--hence the playful color. Ha! Whatever that means. Lol. 

A couple of weeks ago, I was shopping for bikinis and other beach necessities when I passed by Wade and saw a lovely pair of wedges! My normal self would probably ignore the urge to buy something I don't really need, as I'm trying to manage my finances this year, but they looked back at me I just had to do something about it. 

Oh, and no. I'm not delusional nor is this a scene out of Confessions of a Shopaholic! Lol. I don't know if you've had that experience where you feel that the item was displayed for you. Haha! I'm going to stop describing how this feels like, you might think I'm cray.

For a lazy person like me, staying fit has always been a problem since I started my journey in the corporate world. When I was in High School and College, being petite wasn't an issue at all. No matter how much I ate, I would always have the same weight. Things started to change when I started working. I had 'love handles', my thighs we're becoming wiggly, my tummy was starting to look bloated all the time and worst of all, my arms felt like they were a big bunch of Jell-o attached to my body. Ugh, so irritating.

I started becoming conscious when we went to the beach this summer and I couldn't find the right swimwear because of my bulges. I even considered a one-piece swimsuit just so I can hide my tummy--the horror! So, after realizations over several cups of cream-filled coffee, I decided I need to work out. And yes, that's after gaining more weight with all the whipped cream I consumed while contemplating. 

I haven't indulged myself into shopping for a few months now for I was saving up for an air condition for my room in the province. Also, whenever I go into malls and I feel like spending, I would mostly buy appliances, furnitures and linens. Lol. I don't know, I feel old doing that but I also feel great especially when my Mom would approve of the things that I buy. 

Anyhoo, while strolling and looking for trinkets I can buy for my room, I chanced upon this brand. The brand  had a lot of cute and cheap flats! And that brand, ladies and gents, is Solemate!

A couple of weeks ago while shopping for my sister's school supplies, I can't help but notice a wide array of shoes that were lined up in this department store that we were in. I was looking for a pair of flats for the rainy season, probably plastic ones but chanced upon these lovely babies. 

They say you can never have so many of two things, good friends and shoes. I'd have to agree to that. I have running shoes, hiking shoes, stilettos, pumps, boots, wedges and of course flats. 

Most guys would prefer ladies in high heels because it gives grace to one's posture (if you're wearing them the right way), adds height and of course, makes you look smokin' hot (it depends on who's wearing them. lol). After a day or so of wearing those sky-high heels, there will come a point wherein your precious feet will need to rest too. That's why I love flats.
