I've been trying to eat at all the restaurants in Maginhawa. I don't know why I came up with that goal, which is proving to be quite difficult since I now live in Mandaluyong, but I'm having a lot of fun doing it! I'm lucky to have a supportive boyfriend who doesn't mind driving me to my destination despite the horrendous traffic. 

Over a month ago, I was heartbroken when UP placed 3rd at the UAAP Cheerdance Competition. I am not going to say my school deserves to be on top just because it's my school but because we deserve it. There's a lot of controversy surrounding the results of the competition, but I'd rather not talk about it. To cut the long story short, I wanted to eat my heart out so I figured I'd go to Maginhawa to lick my wounds. Looking for a parking spot on a Friday night is worse than looking for a needle in a hay stack! The boyfriend and I went to the first place where a parking spot was readily available : Rib City.

I had the gloomiest Christmas experience last year. Ending my 7-yr relationship wasn't easy but it was something that was long overdue and it had to be done. As I've mentioned, if you're unhappy--leave. But always, always do it the right way. That incident happening at the most wonderful time of the year was extremely difficult. Everyone was excited for the holidays, and I didn't want to be the grinch spreading bad vibes all over. I had to put a face on so as not to influence anyone with my sadness. Truth be told, I honestly didn't want to be a burden to anyone. I didn't even tell my family and friends. 

After a while, I realized that despair was starting to consume me. Despite trying my hardest to be apathetic towards what was happening, I couldn't. I was a ticking time bomb. I had to tell someone. I first told my family about it, and after a few days, I told my friends. It felt so good share what I was going through with other people. Their support was overwhelming and I couldn't be more thankful that I have a supportive and understanding family and a bunch of crazy friends willing to cheer me and just be there to listen whenever and wherever. 

This post is long overdue. Much like my other food exploits since I eat more than I blog, heh. A few months ago, my sister Kat celebrated her birthday. We wanted to surprise her and make fer feel as if we didn't care about her special day which is why we told her we have other things planned. My sister is adventurous when it comes to food; she is my total opposite. I have a tendency to stick to restaurants that I like. She, on the other hand, like trying out things. This strikes a balance between us since it breaks the monotony of the my hungerlust. For her birthday, her boyfriend told us that she's been dying to try out 4 Seasons Hotpot City. He did the reservation and all we had to do was go there and pretend that we have other things planned. 

Our initial reservation was at 6:00 PM. Unlike other restaurants, 4 Seasons doesn't have a grace period for reservations. If you're late, even just for a minute, you'd have to queue with the walk-ins. I found this unfair as restaurants would usually give leeway because there are tons of unforeseeable circumstances that could happen even if you try your hardest to be there on time. Not really defending myself but it sucks that we had to wait with the walk-ins when we were just late for abour 3 minutes because we got lost. 

It's no secret that Belkin is one of the leading brands when it comes to consumer electronics. Not only am I a fan of their awesome and pretty iPhone cases, but also their sturdy cables, routers and other peripherals. If I had the money, I would make sure all my gadgets wear Belkin. But we all know we can't always have what we want, lol. I've had my fair share of broken cables, lost wall chargers or car fights due to insufficient phone peripherals. And trust me, it's awful! It's not that I'm too dependent on my phone. But with all the innovation in technology, one has to catch up. And since Apple hasn't really found a way to make their batteries last longer not their cables sturdier, I have to always have a contingency plan when it comes to my gadgets.
