I love to eat. Last Valentine's day I had the luxury to omit some food I shouldn't be eating because of my diet. And yes, I commit to my diet intermittently. Whenever I'm really stressed out or hungry, I forget about it. But when I'm all okay, schedule has been followed, I'm tight with it.

My sister Polly share the same attitude. Whenever she's stressed being a part of the student council, spear-heading the school paper, performing her role as the class president and staying on top as the first honor, she eats, a LOT. My Mom and I try to talk her out of binge eating because it'll not do her any good. But I guess she has to follow by example, and my Mom and I are not the best role models when it comes to that area.

So anyway, I just wanted to post my Sister and I's favorite dessert. Some weeks ago, I bought a box of Krispy Kremes as pasalubong to my sister and she managed to make them disappear in one sitting--half the box I mean. And she was so satisfied after that she managed to finish reviewing 6 subjects in 4hrs.

So i guess I'll let her be for the moment, and just remind her every now and then to take it slow sometimes.



My sister has a preference for the extra sweet ones, she doesn't like settling for Sugar glazed. And that leaves them to me, by my lonesome. Nomnom!

Valentine's day themed donuts

Hun and I agreed to sit out Valentine's day. I mean, it's such a cliche and it's everywhere as if it's the only day you can tell someone you love them. I kind of disagree with that philosophy. It's better if you treat everyday as a special day to tell your loved one that he or she is important and loved. Right?

Anyhoo, because of peer pressure I sort of felt obliged to give Bunny a gift. Well I'm weak like that, always giving into peer pressure. I do give him small nothings on random days but I just felt like this one had to be a slight bomb because I didn't get him any present last Christmas. So I got him;

I got him a watch!

First off, Happy Valentine's Day! How's your day so far? I've got no special plans for today for we had our 'date' last weekend. Right after my shift, I met with Hun so we can go to Pampanga together. Arrived there around lunch, Mom prepared a sumptuous meal for us! We had crabs, lobsters and Sinigang (no photos though, I was starving!) Had a nap after lunch and next thing we know, it's already dinner!

Bun's tooth was a major pain in his ass for it prevented him from eating the delectable treats prepared by my Momma. After dinner, we washed the dishes together (kilig!) and he also helped me configure my new wireless router! I'll blog about that some other time.

We also slept late because we watched TV and we were busy talking to each other. fast forward to the morning after, I cooked him breakfast! We had tocino and tomatoes, then immediately fixed ourselves and headed to Clark for the 16th Hot Air Balloon festival.

I'm the eldest in a brood of four pretty girls. Being the one, I feel like I have the responsibility to be a good role model to my sisters, a thing which I have failed to do so in the past. I think now is the perfect time to make up for it.

I'm trying hard to reconnect and bond with my sisters since all for of us are in different places, Kat and Ney in Baguio, Polly in Pampanga and I'm here in Manila. I just miss them and I feel like spending the days apart is painful especially for the 2 young girls because I haven't seen them mature into teenagers. But don't worry, we'll catch up on that soon!

They're pretty, I know.

Last year, I'm proud to say I was able to control sudden impulses of purchasing things I don't really need. I have learned how my mind works and acts so basically I just have to trick it a little to cooperate. Okay, weirdo in the house. Anyway, yes I was able to save a small amount from my gross earning of P***, 000.000! Yay to me, I was also able to invest on some of the gadgets I wanted. I got myself a dSLR, a notebook and some destinations out of town.

My strategy was not to spend money on pieces of clothing that will eventually go out of style. I favored classic pieces that can be worn over the years without you thinking it might be out of fashion. And since I was also a shoe-a-holic, I had to cut down on extreme impulses on shoes. Especially the lovely ones I see online. Amongst my shoe wish list, I was able to buy only 1 but that's fine. I got a vacation in Baler anyway.

So, since I deprived myself of these things for almost the whole year, I decided to splurge just a wee bit last December.

Upon being employed by my capitalist company, I have since forgotten how to prettify and organize my things. I  always have been almost late for work, or have some more work to do when I think of organizing my things. But last December, I though I'd get it over and done with and once and for all clean up and organize my things. Here's what I got.

Haha! So going back, I just thought I'd show you a photo of my piggy bank which has been with me for over a year now and I haven't even managed to make it half full! So, I bought some things at the Japanese store in Trinoma where things were supposed to be priced P66 and P88 or so.
