My blogging calendar is way out of schedule, that it even surprises me how I can still upload posts despite the insane timeline, haha! I remember starting off with my Discover Davao series towards the end of November but halfway through the series, I started posting recipes and food discoveries. I apologize for the inconsistenies! I promise to get my shit back together during the Christmas break!

As of this writing, I'm on my last day at work. Last hustle and bustle before I finally end this year, yay! And before I do, I find it apt that I share this before I finally cap the year off, lol. The boyfriend and I visited this Sushi joint a few months back. Right around October if I remember correctly, because it was after we had a 2-week vacation in El Nido. We love Filipino food to death, but once we landed here in Manila, we both just looked at each other and immediately knew that we had to have our Sushi and Sashimi fix! I've been reading all the rave about Ta Ke Ho Me Sushi Stand because of their unbelievably cheap sushi rolls. And since we wanted Japanese food but didn't exactly have the budget (our funds were depleted in El Nido, heh), we decided to give it a go. 

I was supposed to resume blogging about my Davao trip since I have a new travel post lined up, but I just can't help it. I discovered a new Japanese restaurant and I'm obsessed! Not even sure if I should call this a ~restaurant~ since the name actually says carinderia, but whatever! I love it! I saw this on my Facebook feed a few days ago, and you know I won't pass up any opportunity to try out an affordable Japanese place! This will only be a short post since I've attached a video with it anyway so you can have a better idea of what the place is like. Plus, more graphic reactions for you guys, haha! I also recently realized that taking videos is waaaay easier than photos when it comes to documenting my goof adventures, so I'll be doing more of this!

I know I've said a gazillion times how much I love Japanese food, but can I just say it again? I LOVE JAPANESE FOOD to death! It wasn't in my late twenties that I became fond of Japanese food. When I was working in Technohub, my go-to place was Red Kimono. I was thrilled upon finding out that my next work location would be in Ortigas. Sadly, my office is a bit far from the central business district and the only Japanese place close to my office is Kimono Ken. 

Since my first day at the new job, I've eaten a thousand times at this restaurant. It's not the best but it satiates my craving for Sashimi. Lately though, due to the amount of Sashimi we consume every meal, the boyfriend and I would rather settle for all-you-can-eat buffets instead, LOL. I'll tell you more about our buffet adventures on my next post! For now, more on Kimono Ken!

Place + Service

I love routines. At work, I have a flexible schedule but I try to stay on the same shift for the whole month so I can hang out with the same people, go home at the same time, I get to memorize what traffic is like,uhm, yeah. Scratch that last part. Traffic in this hell hole is unpredictable so let's go back to my point. My point is, I'm loyal to my routine as I am with my restaurants. Vikings is my favorite all-you-can-eat buffet here in the metro. They have a wide array of food options that I always end up having food coma after dining. But during my youngest sister's birthday, we wanted to try something different so we can treat our parents to as much buffet restaurants as we can, lol. #familygoals 

This year, we decided to try out Yakimix Prime. We originally wanted Yakimix but they're always fully booked and my Dad hates traffic (who doesn't) so we thought Yakimix Prime in BGC would be perfect for him. Parking wasn't difficult and the place wasn't overcrowded with people. 

What's going on Chicharon? Hah, that's me trying to pull off a Mikey Bustos opening. Hahaha! Okay, if you don't know him you might not be laughing as hard as I am. 

A few weeks ago, we dined at Red Kimono before our tip to Baguio. My workplace (UP-Ayalaland Technohub) is surrounded by various restaurants which caters to different kinds of food. That particular Friday night we were craving for Japanese food thus leading us to Red Kimono. I promise you this post won't be heavy with text, I'll smother you with photos!
