Everyday App Shufflin' : Top 5 iPhone Games

Saturday, April 14, 2012

Remember I had an entry about my favorite iPhone apps? Well, basically they were all social network and photography apps because my phone is very efficient when I have to connect to the intarwebs and brag about my not-so-artistic photos. Lelz. Now, I want to share some iOS games that I love to play when I'm bored and never get tired of these games even if I've been playing them forever.

I really like simple games. Those that wouldn't require in depth thinking but would let me enjoy the game as time passes by and it's my turn to pay the bills.

Anyhoo, let's do the roll call. Drum roll please.

1. Bejeweled Blitz (download link)

There's something annoying yet fun with Bejeweled Blitz. Annoying in the sense that it's such a simple game yet when you run out of time, you have this urge to throw your phone somewhere. I guess at some point it requires logic, you have to strategically move your jewels (no pun intended). Among the games in my phone, I find myself constantly playing this one when I'm tired or bored. Try it, you just might get hooked.

2. Angry Birds (download link)

Who wouldn't be familiar with Angry Birds? It's so sensationalized that even the unborn kid in your tummy probably knows how to play this game. Mechanics are simple enough, you use the birds to destroy the pigs. There are just some complex pig arrangements where you have to use your mind while playing. But I don't, I just base everything on luck. Where's the fun if you're going to stress yourself anyway? Meh.

3. Fruit Ninja (download link)

When I was a kid, I have always wondered what it's like to be a ninja. Have you? It's okay, you don't have to deny it. Ninjas are amazing if you must know. Fruit Ninja somehow embodies that dream since I get to practice my awesome Samurai-slashing skills, not with people but with fruits. Lelz. When I'm stressed, I play fruit ninja and I just pretend that the fruits are people I hate.

4. Jojo's Fashion Show (download link)

Are you fond of dress-up games? This game is perfect for you. This app allows you to dress your models on specific themes such as Boho Chic, Bohemian, Indonesian Bridal and many more! You get more points if you know what the theme is all about so make sure you read the description of the theme before dressing up your model. The app also include male models, so I guess guys can play it too. Heh.

5. Tiny Tower(download link)

I currently have 150+ floors and counting. I can't keep track of my employees anymore but I'm proud to say that around 80% of them have their dream jobs. It's such a hassle to restock some of the floors but I'm fine with it since I can play Bejeweled Blitz while waiting or even go to sleep because floors like the Doctor's Office take gazillion years to restock! Oh, I got carried away. Anyhoo, Tiny Tower is like managing your own building. Your the Landlord/lady and you get to have your employees rent the same building. It's fun because you get to be successful in your own little world in the Internet. At least there's a part of your life that's not so sucky, well, sans the slow golden elevator.

There you go, the most used and abused games in my phone. Simple yet fun to play, I love games that don't require players to think a lot because I'm lazy like that. You can click on the titles to download the games or simply go to the Apple App Store so you can discover a whole universe of free games aside from the ones I've mentioned.

What are your favorite iOS games? :D
