I'll Bleed For You

Sooooooo, I finally got a new tattoo! I hope my Mom doesn't read my blog 'cause I haven't told her yet, meh. I wasn't supposed to blog about the experience but I had a really awesome time during my session. Awesome enough to share here! This won't take long, I promise. I had the procedure done last Friday. I asked a friend to drive me to Dyun's place because it will be extremely inconvenient for me to take public transpo after it's done. We headed to Fairview (also FARview) and we got lost along the way but eventually found Dyun's studio. First thing he told us was to take our shoes off before entering his studio, I think that's very relevant.
Inside the studio, everything was so neat, clean and organized. I can tell Dyun is OC, lol. We talked about customizing my design some more and I had to rethink the area on where I initially wanted it. I originally wanted the design on my forearm but my forearm is so skinny it compromises the design. I like the fact that Dyun was educating me all throughout my decision making process. He was also telling me about possible repercussions should I choose to have an intricate design on a small area. Taking everything in consideration, I decided to have it on my lower leg instead. He printed the design and placed the stencil on my leg. He asked me to look at it and check if I was satisfied, and hell I was. I love it! I told him that we should get it on, lol.
It took him about 20mins to get everything prepared. As I've mentioned in IG, he was meticulous about everything. He also sanitized and shaved my leg. The process was quick and almost painless. I don't know if I've grown accustomed to pain or he's just really a good artist but I'm going with the latter, haha. I'm grateful that a lot of my online friends recommended him because he is good at what he does. Occasionally he would insert himself in between conversations but not while doing the tattoo. I like that he was witty and that he always checked if I was okay or If I needed to take a break. He was also very easy to talk to and we just clicked, if you know what I mean.
I apologize for the quality of the photos. I didn't bring my camera with me, but I still wanted to share the experience with the help of visuals hence the crappy photos, lol. After the session, Dyun reminded me several times about the proper after care procedure. What I should and shouldn't be doing and how after care affects the outcome of the tattoo once it's fully healed. I booked my appointment 3 weeks prior to having it done. My initial schedule was February but since I can't make it, I asked that if ever someone drops out of their appointment, I'll get the slot. Luckily, someone did so I had my appointment at an earlier time. If you have to plan to have your tattoo done by Dyun (which I highly recommend), book your appointment ahead of time so you get to discuss the design and everything in between prior to having your tattoo done. I assure you that you'll be in good hands--literally and figuratively.
Oh and before I forget, the winner of the SB Planner giveaway is *drumroll*...
I'll contact the winner via email regarding the shipping of the planner. Congratulations! Oh and if you have any more questions about my procedure, send me an email or drop your questions at the comment box below. Hope you're all having an awesome Monday! :)
