New Essentials x SB 2015 Planner Giveaway

I've always had ugly skin. I have 3 sisters and they all have the perfect skin and complexion that sometimes I wonder if I was adopted, loljk! But I wasn't kidding about the part where I have ugly skin. My face was pretty low-maintenance until College. I started having really bad breakouts during my first year and sort of had this epiphany (lolwhut) that I need to take care of my skin. Back then, taking care of my skin meant a facial cleanser and a basic moisturizer. Well, that actually went on until last year, haha. Thanks God for friends who look after you, even if that meant criticizing every inch of your face. Before 2014 ended, I consulted a dermatologist because I had two unflattering red dots on my face and they won't go away! December was the time I wanted to hide from my friends and avoid any client presentation as much as possible because I felt uncomfortable with those two red dots looking like targets on my face. I was told to go through the whole shebang : a regular facial, a deep cleansing facial and an anti-acne treatment. I felt like they were more painful than when I was having my tattoo done! I suddenly remembered why I don't like going to the dermatologist!
With that, I was also prescribed after treatment care. Everything was so tedious that I swore I would start taking care of my face and my skin so I won't have to ever go through everything again. It also didn't help that I had to make those appointments during the busiest month of the year! Traffic was unforgiving and setting up an appointment was a pain since everyone seemed to want to look beautiful before the year ended. Anyhoo, those two big red dots (as seen on my Christmas and NY photos) are almost gone and I'm relieved that I can finally go out without having to think too much of what people are saying when they see me, lol. Anyhoo, I've decided to share my new beauty regimen, and yes, I've graduated from the basic cleanser + moisturizer phase. Please don't laugh at me!
Just looking at all these products make me tired. I'm a lazy person and I don't like putting all these products on my face before I go to bed, but, they work. So, I guess this is a start to a ~new~ me, yay? Lol! Most of the products that I use are from Olay or some all-organic shop. I have oily skin but other face products tend to dry my face up rapidly. Of course before I put all of these, I wash my face thoroughly and gently with a facial cleanser.
Olay Oil Minimizing Toner - It has great smell plus it's not too harsh on the skin. It also works on my skin type. There's not a lot I can say about this product except for it gets the job done.
Erythromycin - This one was prescribed by my dermatologist. It has a very strong alcohol-like smell. I use it only when I have acne because it can dry your skin intensely. It does wonders to the affected area hence it's a must-have when it's the time of the month. If you plan to use it, be careful with the application. Dab it only on affected areas and don't use like you would your toner.
Olay Natural White Day Cream - The color of the cream is all sorts of awesome. I feel like it acts as a form of concealer which I love! I don't use concealer and I don't have plans of using one so this is perfect for me. A pseudo concealer in the form of a moisturizer. How awesome is that?
Olay Natural Serum Swirl - I use this and the Olay Natural Day Cream interchangeably depending on the weather. If it's really hot outside I tend to go for the serum because it doesn't make my skin greasy, and hello, SPF 15! It's not a lot but it's better than nothing. Oh, and look at the cute swirl, it reminds me of Strawberries and Cream, lol.
Zenutrients Tea Tree Hydro Gel - If you're scared to try Erythromycin, this is another option you may want to take in consideration. My bestfriend from HS introduced this product to me and while it may not work as fast as Erythromycin, it is also effective. I love the cool feeling I get whenever I dab a small amount on my acne.
Human Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil - For those pesky marks that acne leave behind. Not sure how effective this is because I've only been using it for a week. I was supposed to go for Argan Oil but it's pricey, so I decided to go for the alternative. I'll let you know if it works!
Moving on, I'm giving away another planner! Last year I gave away a CBTL planner, this year I'm giving away a Starbucks 2015 planner. I'm planing on making this a yearly thing to compensate for all the bad things I did last year, hahaha! I know this planner is not enough to really make up for it, but it's a start, right? Yay! PS, please make sure you follow the instructions. They're pretty simple, thanks to Rafflecopter. They're pretty easy too, so please, make sure you follow them. I hate people who ignore instructions, I mean, again, how hard can it be? Okay? Let's begin!
