Of the things we did during our Cebu trip, this is the destination I'm extremely passionate to talk about. Swimming with the Whale Sharks has been on my imaginary bucket list for a while. My first option was Donsol, since I first heard about it through my instructor in college; who happens to have a family-owned resort in Sorsogon. In 2009, we were already planning a trip to Donsol; but unfortunately, my instructor died a few years after due to an accident. And my plans to visit the place sort of went with him since he was the one spearheading our visit. 

Fast-forward to 2013, my boss at work tried Whale Shark watching in Oslob; and that reminded me of this item on my bucket list. Honestly, I don't want to call it a bucket list because it's NOT that. But for the sake of this blog, let's refer to it in that manner. When the boyfriend and I got together, this was one of the places we wanted to visit first. While doing my research, I found out that a lot of people are against this activity in Oslob due to several reasons; which we'll talk about further. Despite the articles online, of course a part of me still wanted to try it out and see for myself if these allegations are true. Let's find out more about these gentle giants, or as the locals call them, Tuki.

Most of them have the same rates and packages. Just like my previous note, 'most' resorts offer this activity so make sure you don't settle for the first one you see. 

While editing my photos for this entry, I was having a mental debate if I should collage my vertical photos as I always do since it helps keep my blog width up to par. But while I was doing so, I realized I'll be robbing these photos the optimum quality of how they should be viewed. So aesthetics aside, I'm doing a post with tons of vertical photos. Scrolling-wise, this will be a pain in the ass. But I really wouldn't want to miss the chance to showcase how beautiful this destination is. 

As I was writing my Conquering Cebu travel series, I felt muddled on how I should proceed with the categorization of my posts. I wasn't sure If I should go per location or per destination. But since I started with introducing Poblacion, Osblob, I thought I should proceed with Tan-Awan; only to realize that some of the destinations deserve their own respective posts. So now, I will tell you more about Tan-Awan, but will separately publish the amazing destinations you can find there. 

Basically, this is just about the place we stayed in and how much we spent while we were there. At the end of this series, I'll try to make a detailed account of out itinerary and expenses. I would like to say that the boyfriend is the best travel accessory, lol. I remember reading something under the lines of, "The person you love is the best travel accessory." or something to that effect. Which is true, in my case, because he listed down all of the expenses we had. And it's not only useful for blogging purposes, it also accounts for how much money we spent on food, transportation, accommodation, etc. 

Hi, guys! So I just got back from Davao and I'm thrilled to tell you all about my adventure! Unfortunately, I still have backlogs from my Cebu trip, lol! Yep, Master Procrastinator here. So let's have a head start with the first leg of our trip! We wanted to go to Cebu since swimming with the Whale Sharks has been one of the things I can never seem to cross out of my imaginary bucket list. Lol, I don't really have a bucket list. Just random things I want to do, haha! And as luck would have it, the boyfriend has been wanting to do it too! I'm telling you, this guy is my travel soul mate ♥. I never had the chance to do it in the past because my partner then wasn't as enthusiastic with the idea, and I was scared to travel alone. But hey, here we are! 

Before I begin talking about the places we visited, the second photo is our first meal in Cebu, haha! Upon landing, we didn't get a chance to eat since we didn't know the schedule of the buses bound for Oslob. Our first meal was below P100! Can you believe that? Of course we still had dinner, but this meal filled us up to the core. We had Fried Chicken, Barbeque, Pork and Chicken intestines, Puso (steamed rice wrapped in banana leaves)  and they served us with a dipping sauce with a lot of onions. God, I love onions. The moment I had my first bite, I knew I'll be loving this place.
