If you haven't heard of Taytay Tiangge at this point, then boy, can I just say you're in for a treat when you read ahead. This isn't the first time I'm writing about Taytay Tiangge. I wrote about it over a year ago, right when I was debating If I should share this gem and risk having it sensationalized. But even before I could decide on that, people started fawning over the place and so I didn't even have to make a decision anymore. I just had to share what little knowledge I have of the place so other people can enjoy it too. You can read about my tips when visiting Taytay here!

On my second visit, I found out that while it's best to visit during Tuesdays and Fridays, the optimum time would be 7PM onwards. I was already there at 5PM and started scouting the place. I saw that most of the new stocks were delivered 7PM onwards. During my visit, I noticed that the tiangge's have grown thrice it's size since the last time I went there. It could be the influx of people coming over that made increase production, but eitherway, it's good news for me since it means more clothes to choose from! On today video, I'll just be sharing some of the things I purchased during my last visit. I think I spent less than P1500 but I got more or less 12-15 pcs of clothing. Ugh, isn't that great?? Let's begin!

I won't even start apologizing at how disorganized I have been these past few months. Just to be blunt and put it out there, I wanted to do something really nice on my birthday and since I don't have the budget for a fancy giveaway, I thought, why not make something out of a hobby that I really enjoy--photography! A lot of people often ask me how I curate my Instagram feed or how I edit my photos, and while I don't have a definite answer all the time, I do have one technique that I use--filters or presets! I don't really follow just one color scheme for my feed unlike the popular influencers because some of my photos just don't seem to fit the theme. And I'd rather post photos that I like rather than a useless one just so I can follow a color scheme, lol. 

Anyway, I'm celebrating my birthday tomorrow and as a sign of gratitude to everyone who has been supporting me and my little space on the internet despite the lack of updates (hehehe), I'm giving away a free Lightroom preset! I've decided to name it Saudade which means a feeling of longing, melancholy, or nostalgia--something that I always feel when my birthday is about to come up. I don't exactly know what I'm longing for but the feeling of nostalgia and warmth, it gives me a sense of comfort despite not being where I want to be at this point in my life. The preset focuses on warm orange tones and bluish shades, which is something I've been obsessed with this summer. Here are a few samples!

 The preset is best applied to well-lit photos. I recently used this on a bunch of photos I took in Boracay. I never really use just one filter but I was so in love with it I had to use it on all the photos I had. Perfect for those sunny hues, but make sure you put down the temperature and white balance down so as not to have a photo that has too much contrast. A lot of people ask me all the time what kind of phone/camera I use for my photos and I feel like putting this up can finally put all those questions to rest. I've been using the same DSLR since 2010, I've added a few new gears through the years but most of the photos I have online are all a product of my old but reliable Nikon D90. We all know a common concern for DSLR users is the weight and the convenience in carrying it out. I mean, I love the shots I get from my camera but tbh, it's not always handy. I used to bring it with me all the time just so I don't miss anything but it really weighs me down! So really, thank god for Smartphones! Since the dawn of smartphones, it has been extremely convenient for me to document most of my food adventures which is why today, I'll be sharing a few tips that I've learned along the way when it comes to mobile photography!

I've always been an iPhone girl but for the past year, I've been using an Oppo F1s for my mobile photography. You can check my Instagram feed for photos. 'Cause let's be honest, who has time to bring a camera all the time? I got a Sony mirrorless camera last year, but even that I can bring myself to carry on a daily basis.
