I know I've posted my initial wish list some weeks ago, and as fickle as my mind can get on the last minute, I had to add more feasible things to my wish list! Why? I know I'm oblivious but I can sense if people are trying to fish for information on things they can get me for Christmas! Lol. You asked for it, you'll definitely get it! This change may not be in time for your Christmas Shopping but isn't January also a nice month for giving gifts? *wink*
I know I'm a bit late with my Christmas Wish list, but as they say, it ain't over 'til it's over! My wish list this year is a bit pricey and impossible but who knows! Someone might have a pure heart who's willing to shell out some extra $$$! Lol.
- Samsung Galaxy Camera - I've been on the lookout for a phone I can lug as a camera when I go out at night. Let's admit it, it's not fun bringing out your SLR if you're out partying and getting wild. I haven't had the chance to try this out but I'm guessing it'll be a nice camera, the phone part, I'm not sure. I'm not really bought by Android--yet.
- Fujifilm X10 - Looks and feels like a vintage camera but it's digital! The exterior looks awesome too. I checked the specs and I'm blown by the different effects I can put the camera into plus the film overlays I can get with it. Not sure if the lens are interchangeable but it'll do for a camera I can bring outside all the time!
Last year, I'm proud to say I was able to control sudden impulses of purchasing things I don't really need. I have learned how my mind works and acts so basically I just have to trick it a little to cooperate. Okay, weirdo in the house. Anyway, yes I was able to save a small amount from my gross earning of P***, 000.000! Yay to me, I was also able to invest on some of the gadgets I wanted. I got myself a dSLR, a notebook and some destinations out of town.
My strategy was not to spend money on pieces of clothing that will eventually go out of style. I favored classic pieces that can be worn over the years without you thinking it might be out of fashion. And since I was also a shoe-a-holic, I had to cut down on extreme impulses on shoes. Especially the lovely ones I see online. Amongst my shoe wish list, I was able to buy only 1 but that's fine. I got a vacation in Baler anyway.
So, since I deprived myself of these things for almost the whole year, I decided to splurge just a wee bit last December.

I got myself a pair of gray Toms! Aren't they purrty? |
I was supposed to post this ages ago, but oh well. I'm always fashionably late. I'd still want to share with you what I've had for my family. I shopped at Greenhills because the malls are too expensive for me, I can get my money's worth at Divisoria, but hell knows the money I'll lose out of snatchers and pickpockets is going to be the same worth as the ones I spent at Greenhills.
The Outtake
Okay, I don't know got to start because I've been inactive for quite sometime. Personal issues and new year blahs. Let me tell you about my new year first. It was the traditional celebration with the family, as an employee working for a "global" company, we weren't entitled to any of the holidays. I was on leave for Christmas though and I was "sick" on New Year. Just so I can spend the celebration of welcoming this supposedly lucky year for me.
Bunny was almost supposed to spend the New Year with us because he was left home alone. Misunderstanding and miscommunication didn't allow us to push through with it. Sad, almost I know! Maybe this year.
Home
I came home to La Pampanga at around 8 in the morning, and I was startled because of the massive crowd at the Terminal. I wasn't able to take a photo of how it looked like because it was so crowded! I didn't know if I was going to make it home in time because there was even a tent pitched for other passengers waiting for their turn. My only choice was to take it as a chance passenger. I tried to line up and use my charm, ended up sitting in front where the conductor is supposed to be seated. At least I didn't have to endure 1 1/2 hr standing. This same procedure I repeated come new year, there were also a lot of people, I even forgot to bring the BBQ which was supposed to be my contribution for the New Year!
At Last
At home, I had to help at the store because we had a lot of customers and my siblings had to take care of the food. Where is house help when you're in dire need of one? So anyway, we got through the holiday with flying colors. More money for the business and a healthy(and hopefully wealthy) family will be coming in 2011.
